It's definitely not an issue for my Lucain, but yeah, it's a Paragon issue. But if I can just breed with someone else then with one of my two Gon, that's awesome. Yay, gonna enter then! :D

I know my dreams are made of you
Of you and only for you
Your ocean pulls me under
Your voice tears me asunder
Love me before the last petal falls

However cold the wind and rain
I'll be there to ease your pain
However cruel the mirrors of sin
Remember beauty is found within

Can the RP be a "history of" the couple?
Crossing my heart
Open wide
You're my crystal and clover
All of me
Honestly
Is dedicated to hold you

Swear to God
Double knot
What would you do if I stole you tonight? (Ahh ahh)
Why waste time? (Ahh ahh)

'Cause the world goes on without us
It doesn't matter what we do
All silhouettes with no regrets
When I'm melting into you
'Cause I belong in your arms
I belong in your arms

As long as the desire for a family/breeding remains, it's fine.

Question time!!! Do I have to post (in the rp) the lineage and if they're in the progress of becoming lifemates or not?

There's a hate inside of me like some kind of master
I try to save you but I can't find the answer
I'm holding onto you, I'll never let go
I need with you with me as I enter the shadows

Caught in the darkness I go blind
But can you help me find my way out?
Nobody hears me, I suffer the silence.
Can you tell me it's over now?

I replied to the second question in the first post. In the process still equals 'officially' lifemated.

And no, the lineage doesn't need to be there. However, if your pets have restrictions such as 'they can't breed', then don't enter them (even though that would be common sense). But you don't need the lineage to breed your pets.

Hmmm...I have kind of a dilemma. The couple I'm thinking of entering was in love, until something happened to come between them. The contest RP will probably follow their meeting, falling in love, and then the fall. But the breeding room will feature them getting back together, sort of. Is that okay?

Is there a limit on how many couples you can enter? Say you enter with person A with one couple. Then enter with Person B with another couple. Is that possible? Can you enter another couple with either A or B as well? I figured there wasn't much of a limit since it says;

This is open to every couple...

I figured I'd ask to be certain, since i see no rule or regulation on the amount of entries.

Also, when it says;

You may still win, of course, but your RP will be judged more harshly.

What does that mean, exactly? How would it be judged 'more harshly' than others?

I love adventurous tales like that. That uplifting feeling that comes from seeing unknown lands and the knowledge that you came across—nothing can replace it! It opens a path from which self-confidence, experience, and important friendships—from the sharing of life or death situations—are born! But hearing it just isn’t the same. I want to create my own magnificent story!

A great adventure!

(As a sidenote, every 'you' in there is a general you. Not to be taken personally. :] <3)

My first answer is to limit it to one couple, if only because your attention and efforts will be completely focused in that one couple. I... suppose, if you feel like you can manage more couples, you can enter them? But every couple must have a completed RP. If you feel like you can handle more than a single couple, then I don't see anything wrong with entering multiple, either with the same partner, or alone, or with a different partner.

It's open to 'every' couple as in... homosexuals and every breedable is welcome. xD You also don't have to have been active since X date, etc; there's no restrictions.

As for being judged harshly... it's mostly from a writing point of view, but also concerning the story and the consistence of the RPs. That's what I also meant by being able to handle more RPs. It might look like your posts were jumbled or shortened because you were tired or inspired/preoccupied with another RP/character. This does not consider things like typos, colored dialogue, etc. Cause that'd be silly. :u

But, your RP has to be... impressive, for lack of a better word. Sometimes you read books and you think, 'Dang, this author's style just sucks.' And sometimes you'll read a book that will have run-on sentences, but they'll be linked so perfectly that you don't even notice. Syntax and cie won't be considered either, but writing well helps in making an RP believable. Know what I mean? Just saying 'I love you' won't make the couple anything special, nor will it make us (the Mods; I'll get Draiz and Kodai to read and judge along with me; and if anyone doesn't feel like participating, they're free to PM me if they wanna be judges too) feel any strong love. We want to become attached to those characters, and we want to feel good after reading it. Doesn't mean it has to be giddy happy... xD Make us cry if you want, or make us laugh our heads off.

But it'll ultimately come to taste as well. Someone might lack in character exposition (making the characters a bit bland) and have a good RP, but that doesn't necessarily leave a really amazing feeling to the reader. However, they might be super old and never have bred, or they might've bred like, just a few times. That would probably be enough to make them win, because the contest is about giving a chance to those who haven't bred/bred much before.

In this case, in a nutshell, 'harshly' might refer more to 'high expectations'. You have bred often, so show me your characters truly love each other. Show me how much your characters truly deserve the room to have their own children.

This also means that, if two RPs are tied, the one whose owner(s) haven't bred often will win between the two (because ultimately, that's the purpose of the contest; aswellasmakingpeopleRPRPRPoho -punt'd-). There will be more than a single room awarded by category, though.

So long-winded, but basically, higher expectations. Did I answer at all? xD;

Wtf you guys read fast. 8c I looked away for like, a minute. Pfft.

I also wanna add that the type of story also has nothing to do with 'awesomeness'. You could do a Naruto spin-off and totally still win, or you could RP a really realistic family, with a working husband, his stay-home wife, and their children going to school. I guess, aiming for a genre and sticking to it helps a lot too. You can break the rules, but I think you know what I mean. The 'kind' of RP also won't affect. You can have gore, as much as you can have comedy. Making gore seem realistic and scary is just as hard as making text hilarious. c:

You know how you watch movies and sometimes you wonder... 'What were they thinking'? Avoid making us think that, and you've already got a good start. xD

Okay, with Millie's questions and your explanation, I am now... confused. May we have only one entry per category [one Lucain, one 'gon, one Kuhna?] or may we have, say, two Lucain entries?

Yes, you may have multiple entries for all three categories. To win, however, your entry(ies) must be completed. So when you're done, you can put a stamp in your title, or something along those lines. c:

If you feel like you can manage more than one entry per category (3 RPs), than feel free to go ahead.

Just a reminder that, if you are done with your entry, please put a 'DONE' stamp in your title. If you don't do that, your entry will not be judged.

Also, this offer applies to anyone, both contest participants and outsiders: contest judging!

If you are in the contest: You can only judge 1-2 categories, the ones you've not participated in. That means that, if you have finished a Lucain entry, you can't judge the Lucain ones (it's just too prone to bias!). If you have an entry in the Kuhnas, but you haven't finished it, then you are free to judge the Kuhnas. This goes for any categories.

If you did not participate: Simply apply, no restrictions!

How it works:
Please PM me to say that you are willing to judge. The judging is anonymous, so feel free to really speak your mind. Of course, that doesn't mean you can be a jerk to the entries; be truthful, but with tact please. c:

I want your names so I know who to poke with a stick if it takes too long to receive judging. We only have about 4-5 entries, so it shouldn't take too long to deliver judging. A week or two, maybe three, if you want enough time.

To judge:
PM me (Shrewdberry) with your judging. Your PM should include the following things:
-Which category the entry is in
-Which RP it is (entrants/pets involved/etc are not mandatory, but feel free to include them)
-Did you like the entry? Why?
-Did you dislike the entry? Why?
-Finally, do you think the entrants deserve a room?

Keep in mind that you can have a middle ground between liking and disliking; 'I liked so-and-so, but this and that didn't really stand out much'. Basically, just tell me what you thought about the entry. What was it that stood out for you? Did you feel connected to the characters? Or did you feel like the entry was empty? Did you feel like there are some things the entrants could've worked on?

Keep in mind we're also not judging for style. 'That entry was a bit of an eyesore because of that bright lime yellow for the dialogue. It was awful and I couldn't stay focused at all.' That's fine, but that's not legitimate. If you felt the dialogue was awful, that's fine; but not the color of said dialogue. This foes for fonts, font sizes, alignments, etc. Judge by writing characteristics; not aesthetics.

Finally, keep in mind that, if you like the entry, that doesn't mean they deserve or don't deserve a room. You could've liked the entry, but it could just feel 'normal' to you. Also keep in mind that, even if you dislike the entry, they could still get a room. Because you're not a romantic or because you're not into unconventional love doesn't mean the entrants don't deserve a room.

Being the only entry in a category also doesn't mean the entry is going to win by default. It just means no room of that type will be given out as prizes. Simple as that.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask here, and if you're willing to judge, just PM me!

May we volunteer for only one or two of the categories? I'm in one of them, but not the others, so I figured I would ask.
