"Hey, Ori, there's a big shipment coming in, but I gotta go get something for my anniversary. It's tomorrow, so can you do me a solid and take my place?" I rolled my eyes, knowing that A, he didn't even have a wife, and B, he never actually payed anyone's solids, and let out a quick sigh before turning to Randy.
"Sure thing buddy... But just remember: You owe me a solid." He nodded his head quickly before setting down one of the tuna boxes he had been carrying over to me, and tore off his manager tag. Walking over to me, he slapped the velcro tag onto my own shirt, and smiled.
"Thanks a bunch budy, and I won't forg-" Before he could even get out that last word, I swung out, and my fist immediately connected with his face, but not hard enough to do real damage, but certainly enough to cause some pain.
"Hey, what was that for?!" he cried out as his hands flew up to his face.
"That was my solid." I replied, not even trying to keep the smirk off of my face. Swearing at me, he marched off, and a bunch of the other guys finally burst out laughing. I walked over and high fived one of them, but finally settled down.
"Okay boys, there's a honking big shipment coming in, as told to you by Mr.Moma's Boy over there, and we have a deadline. There are five different cafes that want a part of it, and we have to get it there before midnight. I'm gonna split you up into six teams." And so it continued, working my but off to get to that deadline, and when it was finally done, to my surprise, it was only nine o'clock.
"Well done boys. We've got a lot of time to spare, so head on over to the bar, and tell whoever happens to be the unlucky fellow tending us tonight to put it on my tab. I'll be over later." And with that, I watched as they all ran off the docks, trampling anything, and anyone, who was in their way. I shook my head at the way they all went crazy whenever drinking was mentioned, and in that motion saw quite the girl. Smirking, I started over to her, wondering what she was doing out so late, and so close to what most people called 'a smelly, disgusting fish port', or simply 'The Port'.
