She wasn't offended by his doubt. To be honest he'd reacted better than she expected. Most people laughed, or at least acted like they thought she was stupid. Mind you, perhaps the giant chicken in front of him had something to do with that. In the face of danger it was common to lose your sense of humour.
She groaned when his foot slipped.
"Pretty much the opposite of that," She muttered quickly, "Run!" Not waiting for a response, she grabbed his hand and tugged him sharply away from the creature. Right on cue it lunged it's head towards him, barely missing him with it's razor-sharp beak.
"Just follow me!" She cried again, not daring to let go of his hand
