Many people knew him, and knew of his inventions, but few had ever truly met him face to face. Ion was his name, Dr. Ion to be exact. He was a scientist, and though many would argue of his effectiveness, he was still considered one of the many 'good' ones.
There were those out there that didn't have anything to state their name on. And worse, those that had things that showed the wickedness of their hearts. But Ion wasn't one of them.
Granted, he was known more for the accidents his inventions caused. Mainly on his self, and not others. But it was what he was known for. It was predictable that whatever he invented would end up blowing in his face. But he did have the occasional ones that made it, and those were the ones that made him semi famous.
But famous or not, there were no stories of people who had actually met him. He seemed to keep his self locked away in his home. And when he did come out, it was to go off to other places to lock his self away, alone, dead to the world. What he did, most people assumed was to dwell in his own work. But others considered him a quack, that he was insane through and through.
Insane or not, he was still her idle. Still the one she looked up to, and hoped to be like one day. So when an add came out in the paper that he was looking for a new apprentice, you could bet she jumped to the chance. Grabbing her coat, and running out the door, she headed for the Medicai City, where the interviews were being held. Not only was she going to have the chance to possible be Ion's apprentice, but even if she failed, she would still get a chance to meet him in the flesh.
Her skin shivered with goosebumps as she neared the building, a sign that read 'Interviews' pointed her in the right direction.
