Belias looked over at her and couldn't help but give her a soft smile. "You always know what to say, huh." He chuckled softly, kissing the top of her head as he pulled her close. His brow then furrowed slightly. "Zari, I have to tell you." He took in a deep breath that swelled his chest, his brow furrowed heavily and his eyes screwed close, obviously trying to find the courage to say what he wanted, no, needed to say.
"I love you, Zari. I honestly do. But, there's one thing that I have to, that I need to tell you." He pulled away slightly, holding her by the shoulders. "Please don't be mad. but, you have to understand. I don't think I'll be able to love you as much as I loved Keahi, as much as I do love Keahi. I mean, I want to be happy with you, I want you to be happy with me, but I don't know if I can give you my whole heart, fully and truly." There was only honesty in his eyes as he looked into hers, his arms beginning to tremble. "Please forgive me, Zari." He sighed gently, bowing his head.
