Born and raised as the middle child within a typical middle class family, Ecstasy, before that even was her name, wasn't considered anything special by her mother and father. She wasn't the eldest and she wasn't the baby, those roles were taken by her older brother and her little sister, which seemed to leave little space for her within the hearts and minds of those that brought her into the world. At the first opportunity to leave, she did, cutting all ties with her family and snatching up a live-in internship at the Industries rather than completing her college studies. She showed much promise, excelling within her hands-on studies there, and soon was hired as a full-time employee.

Ecstasy became a valued team member in a group of scientists and researchers in a branch of the Industries that were dedicated to making advances in biotechnology. The team worked on many projects, though their most notable accomplishments were the human-Khimera brothers, Sardonic and Psychotic. When the brothers were deemed perfect successes, her team needed to create a new project, and that is where things went wrong. Her team turned on her, making her into their newest project. They wanted to advance even farther, to push their limits, and to get really noticed. In the process, Ecstasy's body, organs and tissues were combined with mechanical parts after several attempts, even though her body had tried to reject the machinery on many occasions. At one point, she had even died, though she was mercilessly brought back with an electric shock to the heart.

The team, however, failed to contain their finished project, which had turned the woman into a nearly indestructible living virus. Much like a well programmed virus would do to a computer, Ecstasy can do to a living being, destroying it from the inside out from just minor contact. Beware her kisses, for they are deadly if she makes the decision to infect a victim. She killed two of the scientists during her escape and even freed their past projects, those that she, too, worked on, Sardonic and Psychotic. In the process, she gained the loyalty of the other Khimeras. Together, the three seek revenge, while Ecstasy continues to keep the other two well sustained. Without her, the two are likely to die at one point or another, and she feels  great remorse for what she had done to them in the past.
