As a daughter of Archaic, a well-known magazine reporter, it is no surprise that Valara pursued a high-end career in the music business. As a young teenager, she was sent to a prestigious school specifically to learn the arts, at her own request. She climbed a lot of ladders to get where she is today, achieving the best grades and practicing in all of her free time. With all of her effort, she is now a well-known solo artist with a large fan base and a lot of promise. While she appears to be incredibly passionate about her work, she has her secrets, a trait that she and her father seem to share. Not long after she signed her first music deal, the harsh realities of the music industry squashed any amount of passion and compassion that Valara had left in her when they tried to force her to become something she wasn't. They wanted her to change her music and her image, and she was forced to refuse on multiple occasions, despite them never letting up.

Valara may have signed with a different label after the incidents hadn't let up, but, even so, she doesn't feel the same passion for music and performing as she once did. In her opinion, the majority of the music industry is full of frauds and liars simply trying to get ahead in life and, as such, she feels as though she is actually a fraud as well. She allowed herself to be changed by the music industry on an emotional level, though she didn't intend for it to happen, and hardly sees herself any better than those that brought about the change. On the outside, she appears to be a very confident young woman, the perfect creature for her career, but she is brilliant at putting on the facade for the sake of everyone but herself.

A fact that is well-known in her circle and unheard of by her fans, is that Valara doesn't believe in love, the sanctity of marriage or romance. It happens to be an unfortunate side-effect of her life in the music industry. Just the thought of how many cheesy love songs there have been written to men and women that ended up abandoning their talented "one true love," makes her sick. In no way, shape or form does she intend to become a love-sick puppy. Though, her father certainly insists often enough that she needs to find the right man and, even if a man doesn't suit her, that there ought to be a good woman out there for her, too. Valara usually doesn't bother arguing with him anymore about his silly suggestions, it having become quite tiresome since neither of them budge or get anywhere.
