Taliña is the definition of "spitfire". She doesn't let anyone tell her what she should do or how it should be done, because even if she did, she would find every logical way possible to go against the social norms to complete it. One prime example of this is the fact that she is the sole reason that the Darkpaw Pack exists. Even before the war between the Imperials and the Purines, she had been planning a pack, but had not gotten enough Lucain behind it to make it worthwhile.
Having tasted death, Tali knows how much of an illusion "life" is now; how it can all be snatched away in the twinkling of an eye. When she was faced with the possible loss of the one home she had outside of the Fire-Forests, and therefore the loss of a place to raise any future family, this already-spitfire Lucain discovered that she had a secret lying beneath her fur--and that would be that she has the ability to take on the form of a Placid Paragon.
Taliña was the youngest of three children born to Yin and Dios. She did not, however, spend much time with her parents before she was sent to live with Fire--and when she was first in action with the Kitsune woman, it was evident that it was a good thing that Taliña was never allowed to live with her mother, Yin. In more ways than one, Tali was definitely a "mama's girl"--from the colors of her pelt (which primarily mirror her mother's) to her spitfire attitude.
When Tali was still relatively young, she became the mother of fourteen young pups--some of which inherited her spitfire; others who seemed to be the exact opposite of their mother. But this, however, was not the biggest thing that happened in Tali's life.
No, that would have been the war which the Imperials and Purines fought.
Tali had fought on the side of the Imperials--although she had later wished that there was a way that she could have traded sides after she fell in battle. Yes, Taliña died, but was brought back by one of the goddesses. When she returned from the war, it was in hiding a scar over her right eye with her fur and a severe wound on her leg with a bandana in the colors of the side whose values she truly stood for.

Where her Lucain form is spitfire and will not hesitate to teach you a lesson or two if you step out of line, her Paragon form is a little calmer--but only a little. When Tali first learned that she could take on this form, it was during a rough hunting season when there was little meat to be had. As the Placid is an herbivore where the Lucain is a carnivore, Tali was able to pull through the hunting season with little difficulty.
Tali tends to be a little more tame in her Paragon form, although she is just as spitfire if you cross her. However, rather than just being the take-charge type, her Paragon form is much more grounded and logical, especially when her emotions are tried. It is, however, not highly recommended that you try her emotions.
Taliña did not gain the ability to take on this form until one harsh hunting season in Idalani, when most of the prey was falling ill and dying, and therefore unsafe for consumption. When she first awoke in this form, she felt little different (for the Placid and the Lucain are of similar size), other than she felt a strong urge to go and gather berries and other edible plants.
When she looked in the pool by the Darkpaw den, she saw why she felt this way as opposed to having a growing hunger for meat that could not be satisfied.
