Shawn didn't see his opponent at first, until he tilted his head up.

"Aww, you can fly too? Alright then!" He spread his somewhat aching wings, and managed to take off to face down the Garudor on her own turf. "Let's do this quick! I'm Shawn!" He didn't wait for her answer, instead charging forwards to slash with his wings.

Adey flew into the battlefield to see...oh geeze, another dragon? As if that Battleheart wasn't enough! But while the Russian Battleheart had been more intimidating, this Paragon just seemed overly excited. He even gave her his name, Shawn, which was a first for her in this tournament. None of her other opponents had taken the time to introduce themselves.

"U-uh, I'm Adey!" she stammered, watching as the dragon launched himself at her straight after his greeting. Man, way to jump right into things. She gulped and flew at him, but she wasn't going to use her scythe just yet. From Shawn's build, it seemed like he could overpower her quite easily, and she wanted to see if she could tire him out first. So instead, she whipped up a gust of wind with her wings and hoped it would knock him off balance enough for her to avoid his attacks.

"Eh?" muttered Shawn, as the winds whirled up around him. He furrowed his brow and glared, trying to spot Adey through the crazy whirlwinds. He definitely couldn't use his wings as weapons now-it took all his concentration just to stay in flight. Instead, he simply powered forwards, opting for a direct attack instead. Hopefully the winds would die down soon...

Good! The trick had worked and now Shawn had to struggle against the wind. Adey narrowed her eyes and charged forth with her scythe, using the wind she created to propel herself forward. She would try to attack his wings to see if that would hinder his flight. Once she got close enough to him, she bought her scythe down in a glittering, golden arc. She hoped she could avoid his strike and land a good blow on him at the same time.

"Ah!" hissed Shawn angrily as the Garudor's sword tore through him. "No fair! Why do you get a cool sword?" However, he didn't complain for long, as it soon dawned on him that he had something far more dangerous, his own claws and teeth. Growling somewhat, he flapped his wings, dispelling the last of the windstorm, and charged, hoping that this would be a clear shot.

Thankfully, Adey managed to fly out of the way of Shawn's attack, helped along by the wind, and had also landed a solid blow on him. The gusts had died down now, however, so she knew she might not get away so easily this time. She could only hope that she'd continue to have luck. She wheeled around in the air to face Shawn again, and she launched herself at him. "Take this!" she cried, swinging her scythe when she was in range.

"Hah!" laughed Shawn. It looked like she was too tired to slash him with her sword anymore, so that was one worry gone. Not only that, but his successful attack had finally put him into close range with her. He swung one wing forcefully forward. This time, he couldn't possibly miss!

Although Adey saw her scythe meet its mark, her flight was off, and she was promptly knocked away forcefully by Shawn's charge. The dragon was incredibly strong, and she felt the air get slammed out of her. Wheezing, she struggled to keep in the air. This couldn't keep up for much longer. She knew she'd have to be extremely lucky if she was to win against the Paragon. She watched his wing coming and gulped, raising her scythe to attempt what she knew might be her last strike.

Ha! He'd almost won! He could see that his opponent was on her last legs, wings, whatever! He was going to win this, again! This was great!

All those thoughts shot through Shawn's head, as this time he merely charged, heedless of any strategy, preparing to make his strike through pure brute force.

Adey got a hit on Shawn, but his wing collided with her at roughly the same time. It was a powerful blow, and it nearly knocked her out of the air again. She coughed violently, feeling pretty certain that she wouldn't last much longer. She prayed for some luck and flung herself at the Paragon again. He was flying at her rather recklessly, so hopefully he'd end up missing her...
