:.:Christmas 2010:.:- Albino Merham - -->
Original Price: 40 KS
Unlike its cousin, the Albino Merham is less social. At least, less sociable with creatures that are not like it. Shunned by normal Merhams, the Albino breed is often skittish, afraid of what others might do to it. They also do not venture to the surface often, since they're much easier for predators to spot and can become easily sunburned. When domesticated though, the Albino Merham is usually a much more social creature and will remain loyal to its owner. Just be careful not to keep them out in the sun too long!

- Bobcat Slynx - -->
Original Price: 105 KS
A somewhat smaller and squatter breed of Slynx, this feline is highly adaptable, able to live in climates ranging from rugged mountain ranges to deserts and anything in-between. These Slynx actually don't have broad, padded paws, which affects the breed's distribution in northern areas -- Bobcat Slynx live in regions with lighter snowfall, while the normal Slynx species patrol the higher mountaintops. Even though they don't have snowshoe feet, Bobcat Slynx do have a powerful pouncing attack and are fierce hunters, so you'd better watch out for your other pets!

- Boreal Bleeder - -->
Original Price: 90 KS
This type of Bleeder is created in the same way as the others of its species, but it possesses two unique traits. First is that its color will change depending on the relationship between the angle of the viewer and the sun, shining in all the various colors of the rainbow. Its second special trait is far more amazing, however. Boreal Bleeders have the ability to create the phenomenon known as the aurora borealis (or aurora australis in southern latitudes). A single Bleeder can make a dazzing, though small, display, but large groups can cover the entire night sky with a mystical shimmering light. Some people believe that the poles of Evelon have attracted individuals of this species that separated from their human origins, and that these individuals are responsible for the well-known examples of this natural event.

- Cotton Trumpetter - -->
Original Price: 45 KS
"Adopt aquatic pets! Don't let the Zoo neglect the sea pets! Help us by keeping this plush and spreading the message of hope and friendship!"What... a strange thing. This was the message on the tag attached to the Trumpetter. If you squish the huge button on its belly, it makes a variety of sounds. Sometimes it sounds like it's blowing bubbles, sometimes it sounds like... it's speaking? It keeps repeating the same messages, like, "Save the sea pets!" and, "Adopt aquatic pets!" This plush was made in a hurry, it seems, or whoever made them, they aren't very good at the trade. You're free to trash the poor thing, but I've heard rumors that these plushes aren't as lifeless as they look...

- Crested Alluria - -->
-->
Original Price: $2
Artist: Draiz
"The defining features of the Crested Alluria are, of course, their quirky crest and their near-fluorescent orange bills, but anyone who's been near one can name another - their unique citrus-y scent. Individuals of the species identify each other primarily by minute differences in smell. Scent also plays a major role in mating rituals - it is common for matched pairs to conclude their courtships by rubbing the scent glands on their necks against each other, thereby mixing scents and marking each other as partners."
- Crested Pingune - -->
-->
Original Price: $2
Artist: Draiz
"Of the different subspecies of Pingune and Alluria, it is perhaps the Crested subspecies that exhibits the least amount of sexual dimorphism. Both the Pingune and Alluria variants share the same distinctive crest and and dusky grey coloration. In fact, scientists previously categorized them as the same species before DNA testing showed significant differences. It is suspected that these two species display similar traits because of convergent evolution, but another popular theory is that it is the result of sexual selection and individuals preferring mates who look more like their own in-group."
- Fallow Frightmare - -->
Original Price: $4
This species of Frightmare is very interesting, indeed. Unlike its brethren, it does not bring only fear. To those that are kind to others and pure of heart, it brings great joy. Only those that are cruel and wicked cower in its presence. It is very difficult to catch sight of one, as it only comes out of the wintry forests it lives in during the holiday season. Even then, you must look to the night sky, as these Frightmares have the ability to fly silently. Only the pale blue glow of the snowy mist that appears when they take flight will let you know that you have seen one passing by.

- Fortune Myu Reaper - -->
Original Price: 200 KS
Nearly everyone loves being around these little white kitties, and it's not hard to figure out why! Not only are they adorable, with their big red ribbons and charming bells, but everyone who owns one swears that after they brought their Fortune Myu Reaper into their home, they began to have an increased amount of luck. Being able to buy an item they've always wanted at a discount, finding spare change under the couch cushions, running into an old friend they haven't seen in years at their favorite restaurant... However, there is one thing that seems to make this luck stop. If the person has been mean or stingy, any luck given by a Fortune Myu Reaper is said to vanish until the person mends their ways and becomes kind and charitable again.

- Frosted Leaflet - -->
Original Price: 65 KS
During the winter seasons, these little Leaflets seem to sprout out of nowhere! Okay, maybe not nowhere since they had to have come from the earth or.. something. Still, it's unbelievable that a plant wouldn't sprout until the ground was covered in snow, even if it's a living one. Some believe that the Frosted Leaflets come out during the winter as a means of survival. They've been known to silently blend in with snow covered bushes whenever there is a lot of commotion going on nearby. They even seem to prefer the colder climates, becoming uncomfortable if brought in to a warm house.

- Frost Ursice - -->
Original Price: 170 KS
This little Ursice is a cousin to the Honey Dew and the Ursice, originating from the coldest regions of the Fe'gan Mountains. It loves to carry snow around, so most prefer to stay in the mountains, to keep their little piles from melting. The ones offered this Christmas season were born in multiple climates, so watch out! Your little guy might feel more comfortable in the hot Wilt'no Desert, while another might feel at home in the Tengel Rainforest. They are curious little fellows with big hearts. For a Frost Ursice, sharing the hat they wear with their owner is a sign of eternal friendship. It is sometimes seen in the courtship ritual, in which a male may offer his hat to the female.

- Gingerbread Tricky - -->
Original Price: 110 KS
For a very long time, the old Evelonian peoples thought the fur of Gingerbread Trickies could actually be eaten like regular gingerbread cookies. This is why the Preservation Zoo of Evelon came up with a very strict law on Gingerbread Tricky hunting. While the species is very old, the Zoo refused to allow the breed to be distributed until they had enough to label the Tricky as 'near threatened'. They now allow select trainers to adopt Gingerbread Trickies, since they have become rather popular for the Christmas season, due to their fur. The Zoo also warns futures owners to avoid eating the little gumdrops on the Tricky's back. They are actually toxic glands that can make one extremely sick. They do not poison you, but they are strong enough to keep you in bed and unproductive for at least a week.

- Kawaida Batti - -->
Original Price: 40 KS
The Kawaida Batti is a festive little one. While they can resist sunlight like their peers, they highly prefer nighttime. They have feisty, excited personalities; they often organize feasts and reunions. They collect candles and especially love lighting at least one a day. Kawaida Batties are very open-minded and kind creatures, who often give gifts to strangers and friends alike, if only to bring a smile to your face. They also like to be creative, and often say that they celebrate their own holiday around Christmas time. They're quite the mysterious little fellows.

- Lab Rattegan - -->
Original Price: $2
Even on Evelon, we've heard of lab rats. These little guys are actually the opposite of lab rats! The Lab Rattegans are pretty creative and talented with their little paws. They can help you with your tasks, as well as being an all-around satisfying assistant. They might not be able to solve hard equations or create life, but they can certainly do the smaller things you might need. They are rather popular in the science laboratories now, although some scientists don't really fancy the idea of having assistant rats
and lab rats together. Some scientists mixed the two up, and you can imagine how the story ended. Apparently, that's why some scientists settled for putting goggles on their Lab Rattegan, or others put something else that was equally visible. Since then, everyone can recognized which rats are assistants and which ones are experiments! As such, the ones distributed to the public have a habit of trying on a lot of "fashion" items. Fashion is relative.

- Milky Way Drakel - -->
Original Price: $4
Legends say this Drakel comes from the Evelonian Milky Way, spreading stars as it watches over Evelon in space. If you have ever wondered where stars originate, you now have an answer. The Drakels who refuse to continue the task, or who simply desire to visit the Lands, descend from their starry heaven to live amongst other pets and humans. As such, they are a bit ignorant of the customs and cultures of the Lands. This makes Milky Way Drakels into doubtful creatures, as well as extremely curious. Some of these Drakels can grant their own wishes, but not every Drakel possesses this power. The Drakels' tails also represent the current moon cycle. Watch your Drakel's tail carefully; you might be lucky enough to see the fur change right before your eyes!

- Mooncheeka - -->
Original Price: 145 KS
Unlike its counterpart, the Mooncheeka finds its home in the night sky. Whereas the Suncheeka was a blessing, the Mooncheeka often brought omens and prophecies, according to the legends of the old Evelonian peoples. In modern times, many people report seeing strange symbols flying in the sky; usually a single pair of eyes and markings glowing softly all around. The Mooncheeka rarely appears in front of humans, as it is a shy and doubtful creature by nature. They have a relaxing aura, and the few people who have met a Mooncheeka report feeling extremely relaxed and serene. As they are opposites, it is quite strange for both cheekas to be in the presence of each other, but they seem to be able to get along well.

- Origin Sleepyheart - -->
Original Price: 155 KS
The Origin Sleepyheart is obviously the closest related to their Hollowheart brethren. As such, they are slightly larger than others of their species, as well as a bit more active. They still aren't the perfect pet for someone looking for a loving creature to greet them at the door after work every day, but they are very loyal to their owners. They have been known to sense approaching danger, causing them to wake up to protect their loved ones.

- Present Bandol - -->
Original Price: 85 KS
Aieee! It's a spooky ghost, covered in... Christmas tree lights and wrapping paper? That's right; these little guys would rather spend their time helping you decorate and get ready for the holidays than haunting you. Of course, they are a little clumsy due to being undead, so they'll probably just end up being tangled in even more lights and ribbons... But you can't deny that they really get into the holiday spirit!

- Rufus Rabbot - -->
Original Price: 190 KS
Unlike every previously known breed of Rabbot, the Rufus Rabbot is completely organic! Some even believe that these may be the original species of Rabbot and that their mechanical brethren were created in resemblance of them. True or not, there is nothing to back this theory other than the uncanny similarities between them. The Rufus breed can be found across the Vast Plains, usually living alone or in small groups. Though usually docile, this species of Rabbot won't sit back and take a beating. They're known for being great fighters as well, often seeming to box with each other.

- Shamash Yingshee - -->
Original Price: 45 KS
To some strong believers of the Triumvirates — and even believers of the other small Evelonian religions — the Shamash Yingshee is considered holy. Violence against it or any act of malice will be punished severely. The Yingshees can control the fire on their horns. The fire is mostly for show, and the Yingshee decides whether the flames will be harmful or not. The Yingshees are prestigious beasts, and it is rare for the breed to be distributed to the public. A variety of legends are associated with the Shamash Yingshee, and the Yingshees are often seen as legends themselves.

- Snowshoe Sabbit - -->
Original Price: 250 KS
One of the favorite foods of Slynx, the Snowshoe Sabbit relies on its large hind feet to keep it from sinking into the snow when it runs. To protect itself even further, this Sabbit's coat changes color from brown to white, so that it can camouflage itself in the snow during winter. Perhaps surprisingly, even though it is generally herbivorous, it is not above cannibalism to supplement its diet.

- Snowy Kamee - -->
Original Price: 80 KS
Hey, this can't be right! It's just a Kamee made out of snow, complete with coal eyes and scales, carrot horns and tongue, leaf spikes and pine needle claws. Although... it doesn't seem to melt, and I could have sworn that it just blinked...
