They weren't going to be able to hide in the hotel forever. Eventually the demanding squeaks would get louder and they would no longer be safe. Saya was already thinking--carrying them within her had been so easy when faced with the thought of dragging around 4 children with her. It would be impossible, they would slow her down and place everyone at risk. Children weren't made for living on the run...
She watched Orion's gesture--making the nest for the pups, the way he touched each. He loved them already and she was analyzing them as risks. Her face was rather solemn for a moment as she looked to Orion when he spoke. She held onto silence for a long time, weighing her words and the repercussions of them carefully. Everything was too fresh in terms of emotions to break spirits too quickly...but she had to. This thing...was never meant to end like this. With a family. She had to cut the 'happy home' image from his mind now.
"...You know I can't stay..." She began, watching him carefully for his reaction. "Eventually they will find me, and the longer I stay in one place the faster that will happen. I can't let them find me...or the children. I'll stay as long as I can--feed them as long as they are pups and I am able. This can't be forever."
