Reed watched his sisters curiously from the corner of his eye, focusing mostly on Ripley to make sure he didn't miss anything she was saying. He didn't know how moms did it--watched their babies and gabbed at the same time. He was doing good to keep his thoughts formed into one sentence while trying to make sure neither infant was in danger of hurting herself or her sibling with the killer rattles. How did Itzal make this look so easy?
At the mention of his biological father's name, however, Reed stiffened a little and placed his full attention on Ripley. He didn't know too much about his biological parents and what he could remember was rather foggy, but he knew he had always felt sick to his stomach when he'd had play dates with the man. "Ah, not exactly. Krites is just the biological half." he answered rather flatly as he turned his eyes to his sisters. "Itzal is my adopted dad, but he's the one that matters. I have nothing to do with my biological family."
He shifted uncomfortably for a moment before finally looking to Ripley again. "I have to admit, I didn't know you and Orion were related. You two couldn't be more different from each other. What was he like as a kid?"
