"I will admit," a soft voice crooned in the darkness. "I am curious as to why you asked me to come along."
From the gloom of the forest, a pair of travelers emerged, an odd pair to be certain. One was an equine, tall and slender in stature. Her swirling coat and brilliant eyes stood out starkly against the dark of the shrubbery around her. Beside her, nose to the ground, was a darker form, wings clenched tightly against her side. The smaller form was covered in fur, and appeared, for all intents and purposes, to be a feathered dog.
The canine shrugged as well as any canine could, glancing briefly up at her companion. "I dunno," she admitted. "I guess because you know your way around the forest? And you aren't insane? And you don't actually get on my nerves."
