She was just being paranoid, but... her words did carry another meaning. Since they were among humans, her mother needed to convey her message in a different way in order to avoid suspicion. If she was translating her mom correctly, she just wanted to know where she was if she left one of her haunts, or if she was out feeding. She wasn't so worried about her being kidnapped, just worried about her disappearing for months at a time. Then again... she did say she took after her dad that way. "I understand mom, you are just worried."
Malissa's expression softened, not wanting to embrace her daughter just yet. "Well, since I found you, why don't we enjoy the festival together. Surely you have found something good to eat."
Elusa smiled, pointing at the kimchi stand. "Of course! I mean, I do have some help finding just what I want," she gave her a wink, slyly pointing towards a couple flies. They were always there to help her, after all, she was a fly herself.
