“It’s probably good that you’re marking precise measurements,” Hesperos commented.
“I think so too, but who knows if this lake widens at all…” she said.
Hesperos wandered near the water, flashing the light into it. The water didn’t look foul, although it was deathly still. It wouldn’t be beyond reason to think something might be able to live in there. From where they were they couldn’t see anything living. They’d need to find a food source too, and the bioluminescent plants didn’t extend all the way in to the lake area.
