Before the group of super-canines was a huge, gaping cave mouth. It was pitch black inside, and strong gusts of wind blew past the entrance, generating an ominous, eerie howl. A small, brown and cream colored wolf stepped up to the entrance, a quill pen and map in her paws. She shivered as the wind buffeted her. "W-well, I guess th-this is it," she said, gazing into the darkness.
"Are you really sure about this?" asked her companion, a fiery red fox. He stepped up beside her and crossed his arms, seemingly undaunted by the frigid temperatures outside. "You're already shivering from the cold. Maybe we should just turn back."
But the she-wolf shook her head. "N-no... We already agreed to help that smelly duck. We can't back out now. And remember what we heard about people disappearing into these caves? We can't just leave those people behind either. Besides..." She gave the fox a grin. "What if there
is treasure in here? Th-think of all the things we could discover!"
Another one of the group, a maned wolf with wings, joined them and let out a loud sigh. "You and your treasure, Geysette," he groaned. "There's probably nothing down there but a buncha bats."
Geysette rolled her eyes. "Oh, stop it you guys. Let's just go! I-if you will, Lumo."
The last member of the party, a faintly glowing, green wolf, stepped up to the front of the group. "All right, let's head in," he said.
