If she had known that the place called Idalani Falls was also called the 'Lover's Triangle', Aphrodite would never have let Iris take her there. It was kind of weird, honestly, since Iris wasn't really the deceptive type. Yet, the girl had totally tricked her into going there. Something about "embracing her heritage" or some shit. Tbh, Aphrodite stopped listening after 'Lover's Triangle'. There had even been a couple making out like, 4 feet away. Emphasis on the 'had been' - the dude had totally forgotten about his girlfriend the second he spotted Aphrodite. The chick had looked like she was going to murder her, but it was hardly her fault that people found her sexually irresistible.
She had hightailed it out of there pretty damn quick. Iris probably went back to sitting on some rainbow or some weird shit like that. It didn't even matter that Aphrodite had no clue where she was now - as long as there were no people around to gawk at her.

Hephaestus
It was pretty damn weird that Hephaestus was anywhere but his forge, but he'd heard of a wicked cool pile of metal and tech scraps out here in the middle of nowhere. Apparently, some company nearby had cleaned out an illegal, off-the-books lab or something, and had dumped the non-dangerous stuff here until they got around to carting it all to a scrap yard. In the meantime, though, it was all up for grabs and here Hephaestus was, getting first pick. This 'junk' was truly treasure to him. In fact, he had no clue how he could possibly get it all back to the island. Maybe he could scrap something up for transport.
It was kind of weird, having a place to leave his stuff, and with a forge on top of that. He couldn't bring himself to call it home - too many years on the street for that - but it was just about the closest thing. The whole living with other reincarnated gods/goddesses thing was a pretty good tradeoff, though it was honestly kind of weird. He hadn't actually...met any of the other guys (or...girls, apparently - he was the first dude), except Persephone, and he couldn't be sure the airhead could be counted since they met before they found out about the 'gods' thing.
He shook his head clear and looked down at the thing he'd been crafting in his hands without realizing it. Some kind of...figurine? Really, dude?
