Their leader stationed herself at the mouth of the burrow--using her naturally scruffy fur to help block the bone-chilling winds from reaching her followers and to keep an eye for any dangers lurking in the snowy mist. Her second-in command was often just behind her, somewhere a bit further down the tunnel, to act as back up should she need it.
Yet another night had passed, but this night had the misfortune of being a snowy night. When Asia awoke from her half-sleep in the morning, she was met at eye-level with a wall of snow held at bay by her own body heat and the mouth of the burrow. She heaved a sigh and stretched.

"Radek," she called rather softly down the darkened corridor, "go and wake the white-coats. They're on hunting duty today."
