((Ha, ha...huzzah for thread-mobbing! XD))
He was fast. Sure, he didn't have any special powers that increased his speed or anything, but he was fast. Too fast, actually; his poor owner had been left in the dust quite some time ago, too slow to catch up and helpless to do anything but hollor after him. She had wanted to try and 'train' him, apparently...too bad for her.
The small, plain-looking Albie simply ran, his chocolate brown fur pressed against his sides and big ears pushed back behind the onyx horns that looked very much like a ram's. His bushy, wolf-like tail streamed out behind him, and the tuft of messy fur on the top of his head was tugged back out of his sharp, steady blue eyes.
Mano was paying very little attention to where he was stepping. The little fellow's paws were much larger than what was considered normal for his species, but that didn't seem to slow him down the smallest bit. His jaws were slightly open, and his fleshy pink tongue lolled carelessly out of one side of his mouth.
Somehow, the group that had gathered in the park escaped Mano's notice. With a startled yelp the Common Albie collided squarely into the hulking flank of a ferocious looking Battleheart, hurting himself far more than the other creature. He collapsed on his belly and lay still for a moment, then jumped to his paws, stars dancing in front of his eyes.
"I'm okay!" Mano crowed to anyone who was listening, shaking his head and rattling the horns in an attempt to make the world stop spinning beneath his paws. He took a determined step forward, then fell flat on his face, only to leap up a second time. He tilted his head back to look up at the lizard, still unaware of the others.
"I meant to do that."
