SourceThe leaves and dirt under your feet crunch with a certain sensation that feels strangely "fresh" as you walk further into the forest. Your body is given shade by trees' leaves above you, but the sun peers through certain holes in-between the leaves, giving you and everything around you a "speckled" pattern. Although the only sounds you can hear are your footsteps, you feel that the forest is very lively. The leaves are a brilliant, light shade of green, the sunlight that pours through certain little spots are very bright, but gentle, and there is a breeze that makes the leaves all around sway and twirl.
However, despite how vivacious the forest seems, you can't help but to feel waves of fatigue wash over you. Perhaps you've been walking on the path for too long? You go to the side of the road and see an inviting patch of grass, right in the shade too. You decide to lay down and look up at the trees, trying to look past the leaves and to the bright, blue sky beyond it. Staying like that for the next few minutes, your eyelids start getting heavier and heavier by the second; it's becoming harder to stay awake.
Your brain and body finally give into fatigue and you doze off into a gentle slumber. The subtle sounds of the leaves ruffling as the breeze dances through them becomes your lullaby, and the shade made by the trees is your blanket. A calm, peaceful nap is taken.
When all of a sudden, you feel a sharp pain on your stomach. Your eyes jerk open and your hands automatically start to move toward where the pain is, only-- ... there's a ... creature (you're exactly sure what to call it, as your brain is in a jumbled mess right now) standing on your stomach, sniffing around. Attempting to process what is happening, you blink many times before lifting your body up. The creature, suddenly startled by the shifting of your body, scampers off and disappears into the nearby bushes.
"Linus? Linus? Where are you~?" a voice calling for something is heard, "Linus? Come on, we have to get back before everyone start to worry! Linus!"
Curious as to who the person might be, you walk away from your comfy grass patch. Looking around, you see a person looking up in the trees and calling out the same name over and over.
"Linuuuuuus! Liiiiiinuuuuusss! Liii---" the person stops and looks at you, "Ah!" their face lights up and jog towards you."Hello there," they wave, "[color=teal]have you seen a creature this big and this tall?" They motion out the lengths using their hands and looks at you straight in the eye.
"Yes? No? Maybe so?" they ask, "[color=teal]He's not really all that tiny, but you can still hold him with both of your hands, he's--" they pause before looking at a bush, the same bush the creature ran to.
"Got you!" they shout and pounce on the bush. The creature from earlier jumps out of it and onto your face, you fall back from the weight of it, crashing into the tree behind you.
"Ohmigawsh, I'm so sorry! Ohmigawsh, does your head hurt badly? Ohmigawsh, Linus!" the creature, responding to the name, bounces off of your face in into the person's arms. "Linus, I'm going to have to deal with you later. You," they points to you, "would you mind coming over to my place? It's not so far away from here and that crash seems like it really hurt, we'll have to patch it up if it's bleeding anywhere. Come on! Don't be shy, there's some food and a lot of people! Well, I guess you wouldn't call them 'people-people,' but-- ... Anyways, let's go!" Taking your hand, they lead you to their home, the Teahouse.
