This was an unusual event! Probably publicity-driven, they admitted to themselves. With their heavy, strong tails, they pushed the beams of the little booth into place, using their extra arms to steady certain bits. The two Terratops worked together to string the banner across the two tallest poles, hand-painted with the help of many of the farm's members.

"Think anyone'll bite?" Ice asked, his brow somewhat pessimistic.

"Of course!" Fire replied. "It's $20 of Otherworld credit, absolutely free! Payable directly to Lord Baal himself! Think of all the magical favors one could earn with that..."

"I'm not sure I like this whole mystical, otherworldly hoo-haa," Ice said, eyes cagey. "What's wrong with letting good ol' nature take her course, huh? I guess it's popular with the young'uns. How did Jule say this whole thing was supposed to go on, again?"

"Easy," Fire said, while pushing a basket into place. "Everyone who participates just needs to pick a number between 1 and 100. One that no one's picked before them. Oh, and they have to roleplay their selection. Whatever that means." She shook her frilled head; she wasn't too sure what she meant by that, either. "It's completely free. Julius will draw the winner. And they can use the credit for whatever they like!"

"Yeah, but how long do they have to sign up?"

"Until January 30th,"" she replied. "That gives them a whole week! Maybe a little more. Long enough, don't you think?

"I guess," Ice answered.

The two of them took their place behind the booth, ready to wait for customers.

Namas was flying in the air, bored out of her mind. She looked around the area, then down at the ground. The large Tarnished Garagnir spotted two Terratops holding a banner. Reading what it said Can this be true? thinking to herself. Descending from the sky, Namas landed softly on the ground. "We have to pick a number?" folding her wings close to her body. Her tail moving back and forth "The number I choose is 83" taking a couple of steps back.

Groaning aloud the small Draculi made her way to the booth, so many errands that she was being forced into. Biting back her normally icy nature, Neva put on one of her better smiles and pulled back her black and blue hair from her face. Making her way up to the booth, the Draculi eyed over the banner for only a moment before picking up the pen and scribbling a 22 on the small piece of paper which she dropped into the basket with a quiet "Thank you"

Bottles smashed, I raised my hand
How can you all even stand?
And why is there joy in this poison? Oh
Faking smiles and confidence
Driving miles to capture this excitement
I can't take anymore

You're never gonna get it
I'm a hazard to myself
I'll break it to you easy
This is hell, this is hell
You're looking and whispering
You think I'm someone else
This is hell, yes
I am in hell

Why was adventuring so expensive? At least she didn't have to buy maps, but still any treasure she found went towards paying for new gear for the next adventure (since danger often involved her bags being torn, clothes singed and water skins stolen). The life on an adventurer.
"Lusrd? Lusrd you big oaf, move yer butt!" Grid called, turning on the heels of her lovingly trashed hiking boots; they didn't need to be replaced, not yet anyway.

How he loved the raw colours of freshly cut wood. These strange, erect poles did not provide the colour or smell so he carved into them, enjoying the senses, at least until Grid called for him.
"Vat? Vhy call oaf?" Lusrd asked, clacking his mantibles irritably at his partner.
"Because you are an... Hey what is this stand you're tearing up?"

Looking up he noticed, hey, there was a sign there, "Free... Custum? Vat mean, Free Custum?" he turned his head to follow Grid who approached the stand.
"Not sure but it is free to enter. Lusrd, give me a lucky number, this looks like fun!" Grid said with a smile as she entered in the information required to enter: home address, phone number, name and, of course, your lucky number.
"Lucky...? Bah! Numbahs are naught lucky or un-so! Bah..."
"You're such a pain! Just pick a number!"
"Vhy so important?! Tch! Twen-seven, Alrigh? S'good for you? Frustrating child..."
"Yes, 27 for us then!" Grid smiled at her partner who turned his head away and crossed his arms.

Und & Onu

"Und, what are we doing here?" Onu asked.
Scratching behind his ear.
"Ve need to enter anoder contest." Und replied.
He ran towards where a small crowd had gathered.
"Oh, is it important?" Onu asked again.
Und nodded.
He was to excited to talk to anyone.
He made his way to the two Terratops.
He bowed slightly.
"Yes, ve are here for de drawing." He said with a shaky voice.
Onu could tell this was important.
"And ve choose de numah 33." He finished.
Nodding a whole bunch.

Oh goodness, well this certainly looked interesting. Reina dusted off her apron, watching sadly as a cloud of white flour poofed into the air. She waved her hand, coughing slightly, and sighed. “Should’ve washed up before I went on break,” she muttered to herself, when she felt something bump against her ankle. She looked down to see Watcher, one of her Trickys, rolling around her feet on his little skateboard. She giggled; she was so inventive, thinking up such a clever way for them to get around. All her Trickys had such a fun time on their customized skateboards (even if there were a few crashes once in a while; she needed to think about putting blinkers on the skateboards). Splice, of course, was amused by it, but he’d considered painting lanes into her store so they could avoid all the collisions they’d been having lately.

Watcher let out a little bark, it’s blubber wiggling as it scooted in circles around her using it’s chubby little flippers. “All right then, you can come with me,” she said with a smile, beckoning him to follow her. She stepped off the curb, and waited patiently for Watcher to clonk off behind her. The two headed across the street, the little Tricky paddling across the pavement and making happy little barking noises as he followed cutely behind his master. Reina stepped up on the other curb and kept going, before the sound of whining and barking behind her made her quickly turn and rush back. Watcher was stuck on the curb; Reina bent down and quickly lifted him up (Even if it was a bit of a struggle; where was Splice when you needed him?). The two stopped in front of the makeshift stand that had been set up earlier, Reina smiling lightly.

Her bakery was just down the street, and she’d seen them setting up a while ago, but she’d waited until her lunch break to walk down here (Splice was minding the shop, and Reina knew he had everything in order…even if he was a terrible baker). “Good evening,” she said happily, Watcher barking and looking up curiously at the Terratops who towered over him. Reina glanced down at him. “What do you think, Watcher? What number should I choose?” Watcher barked seven times, and Reina giggled. “All right, you’re the boss.” She turned to the Terratops and grinned. Number seven it is then. Your very kind to be doing all this. Thank you so much.” She tilted her head, dusting her apron off once more, before beckoning to her skateboard riding Tricky. It glanced up at the Terratops once more, before wiggling around and hurrying after it’s master.

I love adventurous tales like that. That uplifting feeling that comes from seeing unknown lands and the knowledge that you came across—nothing can replace it! It opens a path from which self-confidence, experience, and important friendships—from the sharing of life or death situations—are born! But hearing it just isn’t the same. I want to create my own magnificent story!

A great adventure!

Rosy hummed softly to herself, making her way towards the small crowd that had gathered around two Terratops to find out what all the commotion was about. She flapped her little wings impatiently, wishing they were big enough for flight, when she couldn't immediately get through all the pets and humans gathering there, but finally, she managed to get a clear view to see what was offered there.

"A...free custom?" Custom what? Otherworld credit? Like the Otherworld her father came from? No, possibly not that one, but just in case, there was something free and free stuff was good. Maybe, if she would win, there would be a ribbon tied around that Otherworld credit? Another ribbon for her collection would be great.

"Hmm...I'd like number 14, please", she therefore told the two Terratops. "And thank you very much."

I know my dreams are made of you
Of you and only for you
Your ocean pulls me under
Your voice tears me asunder
Love me before the last petal falls

However cold the wind and rain
I'll be there to ease your pain
However cruel the mirrors of sin
Remember beauty is found within

A raffle, hmm? Echo-Echo would have smiled had she possessed a visible mouth. She knew how much Indigo had been wanting a certain person to join the household, and the money she had gotten from selling a large collection of her drawings apparently hadn't been enough. She moved fluidly toward the booth, stepping around people almost in slow motion. That was her way, her body always in tune with any music she happened to be listening to. At the moment, her selection was a slow, flowing classical piece, like many of her favourite selections.

She looked at the pair of Terratops in front of her and smiled invisibly, giving off the air of a grin without any visible sign of it. "My number, I think, should be 42," she said slowly. "There is something special about that number, I think."

What are you looking at?

He worked alone. Alone. Singularly. Separate. Solo. Indifferent to the world and the pain it inflicted. He had no desire to interact, to bond, to forge friendships, to fall in love. Love, the most obsolete emotion of all. It, like everything else in the world, disgusted him. Naturally, like others of a similar mindset, he had never given nor received it. What he wanted most of all was for the world to somehow become completely silent. Empty. This particular wish, like everything else he yearned for, was unobtainable. Of course, it wouldn't have mattered if the world had miraculously lost their tongues. His punishment was crueler than most. He would still be able to hear them: inside his mind. As much as he hated to admit it, that was the real problem. And so, he worked alone. Why, then, was he letting himself gallivant around with this mysterious stranger who was definitely more trouble than he was worth? Because Duncan knew he was hiding something. Judging from the strength of the mental barriers his unwanted companion had erected, it was probably something worth knowing. He even dared let himself believe it involved him. His amnesia. His former life, whatever that had been. It had been so many years... And his fellow traveler had telepathic skills that rivaled even those of his own. He was dangerous. Duncan had to know everything he was keeping to himself. It was the first idea that had ever interested him this much. A lock of blood red hair fell against his forehead as he walked. He brushed it back casually. A voice--no, a thought, appeared in his mind. I appreciate the compliment, my friend, but my being dangerous is only a matter of opinion. Duncan was stunned. Don't worry, that was all I heard. Better pay closer attention to those barriers. Duncan snarled, and spoke aloud. "That was exactly what I had intended you to hear," he lied, "a fact you already know to be true. And the next time you speak to me as though I am an ignorant child, Lokiri, you will wish you had never met me." The taller, dark-haired man laughed heartily. "You are certainly a man who is sure of himself. A useful quality." Up ahead, they spotted a small booth. Duncan had every intention of walking right past it, but Lokiri had other plans. Follow me. Do not argue. Duncan felt his limbs stiffen, and an invisible rope tightened around his neck. Can you breathe? The redhead nodded. This is for everyone's precaution. Act normal. Duncan was pulled along by an unseeable string for a few meters until they approached the booth. This arbitrary idiot-- he was interrupted by Lokiri, his normally soft, deep voice booming in his ears. "Sir, Madam," he began, addressing the Terratops. "My agreeable friend and I would very much like to participate in this contest. He will pass on our numerical selection to you, as he has been dutifully mulling it over." If Duncan's movements had not been restricted, he would have knocked him into the next century. Lokiri chuckled, as if he had heard this. Go on. Improvise. Duncan clenched his teeth. "Sixty-two."

The King beneath the mountains,
The King of carven stone,
The lord of silver fountains
Shall come into his own!

His crown shall be upholden,
His harp shall be restrung,
His halls shall echo golden
To songs of yore re-sung.

The streams shall run in gladness,
The lakes shall shine and burn,
All sorrow fail and sadness
At the Mountain-king's return!

Shadow Glass tapped his lips with his finger. He'd heard of raffles before, though he'd never taken part in one. This one seemed interesting... And if he won, interesting new faces would arrive at home... He approached the booth cautiously, almost hesitantly.

"Er... My number would be 21? Yeah, that'll do..." He mumbled something incoherently to himself and flicked away a fly buzzing around him. He then stepped away so as to not get in the way of whomever wanted to go next...
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, Worn out faces
Bright and early for the daily races
Going no where, Going no where
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, No expression
Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, No tomorrow
And I find I kind of funny, I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles its a very, very
Mad world

A raffle, huh? Why on earth had the mistress send him of all people? Mujihi was bad-tempered and would much rather turn around an go home instead of participating in a raffle for his mistress. But if he would just go and don't participate in the raffle, the mistress would get really angry with him. Therefore Mujihi decided to stay and pick a number for this raffle thing.

He saw a list with all the numbers that were already picked by the other participants. Mujihi took a look on the piece of paper that his mistress gave him. On this paper were several numbers he could chose of. He contrasted the numbers on the paper with the numbers on the list, then he approached the two Terratops and greeted them more or less friendly.

"Hey! I want to pick the 66 for my mistress!"

It was only natural such an unusual event should attract a large crowd. It was the perfect place for Sora to enlighten people about the dangers of Evelon's ecosystem. Blinking her silvery eyes excitedly when she saw it, she had raced home to grab a few of her best posters and badges before making her way back to the booth. Hovering around the outskirts, she began to talk to anyone who'd listen (which, unfortunately, didn't seem to be many)

"Excuse me, do you know what the destruction of the Slums is doing to our wild animals?" Most brushed her away politely, but a few listened with a half-interested pause. She had even managed to convince some to buy some badges, the money of which would go straight into her project. She was careful not to bother people, knowing that it would both injure her cause and possibly get her into trouble.

After a few hours, she decided it would be best to return home. Finally noticing what the stand was all about, she supposed that she should enter it really. Otherworld money would be of no use to her, but her owner was bound to be annoyed if she heard about it later. Perhaps she would be so pleased she'd increase her allowance!

Fueled by this thought, Sora patiently waited until her turn before smiling at the two Terratops.
"Hi! I'd like number 88 please. Thanks." It was always the number her owner had picked so she hoped it was a good choice. When it was done, she smiled once more in parting and turned to go, making sure to drop a couple of posters as she went. People were bound to pick them up at some point. Always fight the good cause!

Noble ambled into the clearing, humming cheerfully as he chewed on a ragged, worn-looking tennis ball. It didn't seem like anything could distract him from his current activity, until his ears perked at the sound of people, and  he looked up at all the hustle and bustle of the raffle. His eyes fixed themselves on the little booth (which was beginning to become quite crowded) and his two tails began wagging. He actually dropped the tennis ball in his mouth, which gave a sad little bounce on the grass before becoming still in a small pool of drool, drooping as though hoping not to be seen.
"Well, isn't this exciting?", he said to himself, quietly excited. "Master wants a custom. Master wants lots of customs! I'll surprise her and make her very happy by getting her one. Yes!"

Noble approached the booth. "Hello!" He managed to appear exceedingly excited and calmly polite at the same time. "I would like number fifteen please. My master is fifteen years old, so it must be a good number."

Turning away, Noble realized he didn't have his tennis ball anymore. His ears and tails drooped. Where could I have left it?! But he was distracted as he saw some odd pieces of paper lying on the grass. Posters? Could he used it as a toy? He gripped one in his teeth and began to rip it to pieces. Oh yes. This was fun! He settled down with it, waiting for the results of the raffle.

I listen to the wind
to the wind of my soul
Where I'll end up well I think,
only God really knows
I've sat upon the setting sun
But never, never never never
I never wanted water once
No, never, never, never

I listen to my words but
they fall far below
I let my music take me where
my heart wants to go
I swam upon the devil's lake
But never, never never never
I'll never make the same mistake
No, never, never, never

Kin whistled merrily as he pranced down the streets, his hooves and claws playing out his rhythm. Odd that he was so happy, seeing as he was pulling around the family hearse. He'd just finished a job, and was ready to return to the shop so he could go home. Normally, he would want to simply head back to work, but there were things that needed doing back home.

He dropped off his favorite vehicle, locked up shop, and went on his way. A few minutes into his return, he heard quite a bit of noise. Odd, He thought, What could possibly cause such a ruckus? He increased his pace, curious. What he found amazed him. A raffle for otherworld money?

Well, the mistress had said it was difficult to come across... He muttered quietly. He moved out of the way and stood there, pondering. Should he enter? It was free, so why not? With a satisfied click of a hoof, Kin headed for the stand, though this was a most difficult task indeed. Once he finally squeezed his way through the crowd, he grinned at the two terratops. What was that thing that the mistress had said about raffles and such? Oh, yes, she wanted a particular number all the time...

Good morning! I would like to take the number 89. Thank you very much. He then headed for home, figuring he'd let the mistress take care of things if the number won.

There's reasons for these bags under my eyes.
The effort I don't give except in lies.
Maybe it's the weight of all the promises that I can't keep.
But the universe will not let me sleep.

Lets talk about the time I waste.
All the things I say I'd do but only say.
And nothing was done today.
But I still feel,
I shouldn't be awake.

Jizelle eyed the pair of Terratops curiously, being drawn in by the growing crowd of people approaching the booth.  She sauntered over with her arms folded lightly against her chest and peered through the bodies of people, trying to spy on the spectacal without trying to look too interested.

Eavesdropping on a few of the others around her, she soon realized that it was a raffle for a grand sounding prize.  She lifted a hand slowly and adjusted her blue-tinted glasses and smiled.  'Raffle, eh?  Might be interesting.' she thought, moving a bit closer to the booth as others moved on.  She knew many who fancied these things, and now she was slightly intriged.  With a small shrug she approached the two behind the booth with a quick smile, her long white cape drifting gently behind her.

"So any free number between 1 and 100 ...  I'll go with 45 then."  Jizelle wasn't sure of what type of prize was being offered, but since it was free, she wasn't going to pass it up.
