The slums are a rundown, old heap of a town tucked deep in the jungles, with townsfolk consisting mostly of poachers, black marketeers, thieves, and fugitives. While the ideal tourist spot, some travel to the Slums to make use of the black markets. (+2 Defense, +2 Speed)

Can It Get Any Worst? (P; Aussie & Sapph)

Postby Sappheara » 09/22/2010 10:06 PM

The Biolune Ferrikoon looked around the Slums for a moment. He couldn't recall what he wanted from here. He felt uncomfortable being here alone, Mato was used to having his companion Insula with him. They been together for years, they never left each others side. This was the first time that he could recall it happening, Insula left earlier with couple of female companions. This is to weird without him. Mato brushed that thought a side as he looked at the run down buildings. There wasn't much to this city, maybe, just maybe he will remember why he was here.

A small shape was crouched behind one of the poorly built buildings, on the outskirts of the encampment where the buildings met the jungle's edge. It's fur was dusty and muddy, though one that could actually observe it would probably figure out it was a Fenling. Assuming said observer was intelligent, unlike some of the poachers and other outlaws that inhabited this place. He wasn't about to clean his fur, though. The grime hid it's bright golden shine, which in this area would turn him from predator to prey before you could blink. And besides, it helped him blend in with the dirt-encrusted buildings and the dark colors of the rainforest.

Rookie was in a dangerous place. A really dangerous place. This place was practically the heart of poacher territory, and if he was caught it was highly unlikely to end well. But he had to go in. He'd seen the men carry the Treasure Rollaby family in here, and he felt a need to at least try to help them. He knew at least one of them was already dead, but there might be hope for some of the others.

Slinking along the building edges, each paw placed carefully on the ground, ears alert to even the slightest sound around him. Rounding a corner, Rookie paused, his ears flicking against the dusty brown large brimmed hat perched on his head. There was a Biolune Ferrikoon standing on the only offiial road leading to the Slums. Although you couldn't really call it a road, seeing as the narrow strip of sand and dirt could barely be called a path. An ally could be nice. Wouldn't be as much of a target as he himself was, and could help out with some of the riskier work. Though the Fenling wasn't convinced at all that this was even a possible ally. Although he seemed confused and slightly uncomfortable, that didn't prove his innocence. After all, though lower down on the list than he was, people were known to pay money for Biolune items. And though Rookie was sure they weren't all so, but Ferrikoons did have their sneaky reputation.

At least Rookie wasn't in any immediate danger of the creature, as he was currently hidden from the Ferrikoon. He'd test him. And then maybe he'd try to approach him. Yes, that seemed like a good plan.

In the trees to the Ferrikoon's left, there was a flash of gold and silver. A Treasure Hollowheart? Or a Treasure Magistrey? One of the Fenling's small illusions, actually. Though it was doubtful that the Ferrikoon would recognise it as such. Rookie watced the Biolune intently. Would he take the bait, or ignore it?

From the corner of his eye, Mato saw a flash of light. He turned his head toward his left, confused. What is that? Unsure what it could possibly be, the Ferrikoon looked around the Slums before he waked towards the unusual light. He travel the Slums before but never seen anything like that. He could hear his own heart beat, faster and faster. Taking a large breath to try to calm down, Mato stop a couple of feet of where he thought he saw the light. Where is the li... Mato looked around the small area, he walked towards the trees and looked behind them, the Ferrikoon couldn't see anything. Maybe the creature left, or maybe I was hallucinating. Shaking his head at that weird thought. Mato turned around, walking back towards the area he was at earlier. As the Biolune looked up he spotted a small brown creature hiding behide a large rundown building. Is the creature dirty or does he look like that? Mato was preplaxed as he looked at the creature, he continue to walk towards the creature. Unsure what he should do when he meets him.

(Sorry for the really late reply. Had trouble figuring out my reply.)

The Biolune Ferrikoon went towards the light... and came back. He shrugged it off. Good. That was very good. If he was here from interest in Treasures he would have recognised the flash as one. Still, there was always need for caution.

Rookie hissed slightly under his breath as the Ferrikoon walked back. He was in a position where he could see him now. Scratch that; he DID see him. And was walking towards him. The Fenling's ears folded back slightly as the other creature got closer. This was not good.

When the Ferrikoon was about a yard away, he moved forward some, his front paws appearing from around the corner to join his head. Rookie looked at the Biolune with slightly narrowed eyes, though how noticable that would be was slightly questionable, since his hat obscured his face slightly. "Poacher?" he growled, his voice a no-nonsense, emotionless tone. A personal confirmation from the creature. The Treasure Fenling's eyes warily scanned the Ferrikoon. From this distance it would be obvious he was a Treasure. Rookie's muscles tensed, in case the other tried anything.

Mato jumped when the creature mentioned poacher. Running toward the forest, he jumped into a bush filled with lush green leafs. Laying flat on the brown dirt, Mato took three large breaths to calm down. Lifting up his head over the bush so he see what was a head. The Ferrikoon couldn't see any poachers, all he could was drunks, blackmart dealer, and varies other things going on. Thank goodness. The creature is going to give me a heart attack. Jumping out of the bush, he walked towards the creature, noticing that it was a Treasure Fenling. "Are you trying to kill me with a heart attack?" Mato brushed that question aside and looked at the dirty Treasure creature for a moment before he said that most stupid thing. "I come in peace." Holding up his right black paw. Feeling stupid for saying the first thing that came to mind. Mato could had a feeling that the Fenling was angry and maybe a little scared. "Err... My name is Mato...."

When the Biolune ran at his comment, Rookie automatically spun around, checking for danger. There was none. The Treasure turned around, giving the Ferrikoon a wry look as it returned. Naturally the reaction would have been funny, but with the Fenling's seriousness all it did was illict a frown. I could say the same thing. he thought in response to the heart attack comment, but didn't bother answering. The other creature had already answered his question anyways, though in an oblivious manner.

I come in peace.

Rookie flicked his tail in an irritated fashion, silently stating Yes-you've-made-that-all-too-clear. At Mato's introduction, the Fenling hesitated slightly.

Mato was tired of waiting for the Fenling to response. So he deiced to leave this place and find something new. He looked around the Slums for a moment, he couldn't find anything. "It was nice meeting you. I can't waste any more time sitting here. Don't mean to sound rude. Maybe we'll meet again someday." He took off into the forest.

(This RP is dead, pulling Mato out. Maybe we can do another RP some other time.)

The Fenling closed his mouth as the Ferrikoon left. His suspicions had been right - he was no help. The Treasure couldn't just stand around all day, though. He was in danger here. He turned away and slipped behind one of the buildings, disappearing.

(Its okay. My fault  :aargh: ... Thanks for RPing for a short amount of time? :) )
