A small shape was crouched behind one of the poorly built buildings, on the outskirts of the encampment where the buildings met the jungle's edge. It's fur was dusty and muddy, though one that could actually observe it would probably figure out it was a Fenling. Assuming said observer was intelligent, unlike some of the poachers and other outlaws that inhabited this place. He wasn't about to clean his fur, though. The grime hid it's bright golden shine, which in this area would turn him from predator to prey before you could blink. And besides, it helped him blend in with the dirt-encrusted buildings and the dark colors of the rainforest.
Rookie was in a dangerous place. A really dangerous place. This place was practically the heart of poacher territory, and if he was caught it was highly unlikely to end well. But he had to go in. He'd seen the men carry the Treasure Rollaby family in here, and he felt a need to at least try to help them. He knew at least one of them was already dead, but there might be hope for some of the others.
Slinking along the building edges, each paw placed carefully on the ground, ears alert to even the slightest sound around him. Rounding a corner, Rookie paused, his ears flicking against the dusty brown large brimmed hat perched on his head. There was a Biolune Ferrikoon standing on the only offiial road leading to the Slums. Although you couldn't really call it a road, seeing as the narrow strip of sand and dirt could barely be called a path. An ally could be nice. Wouldn't be as much of a target as he himself was, and could help out with some of the riskier work. Though the Fenling wasn't convinced at all that this was even a possible ally. Although he seemed confused and slightly uncomfortable, that didn't prove his innocence. After all, though lower down on the list than he was, people were known to pay money for Biolune items. And though Rookie was sure they weren't all so, but Ferrikoons did have their sneaky reputation.
At least Rookie wasn't in any immediate danger of the creature, as he was currently hidden from the Ferrikoon. He'd test him. And then maybe he'd try to approach him. Yes, that seemed like a good plan.
In the trees to the Ferrikoon's left, there was a flash of gold and silver. A Treasure Hollowheart? Or a Treasure Magistrey? One of the Fenling's small illusions, actually. Though it was doubtful that the Ferrikoon would recognise it as such. Rookie watced the Biolune intently. Would he take the bait, or ignore it?
