This was it. It was finally time for the tournament to start. From the list Ares had gathered that his first opponent would be Volfax, a fellox of sorts. The other creature was larger than Ares, but the kuhna hoped his experience would help him out. He was in the arena, awaiting his opponent. Once he was there, Ares charged toward the fellox, releasing his claws, he lunged toward his opponent.

Volfax was walking by one of the posters, reading down the list to see who his opponent was. Ares, a kuhna. He then looked down to see when they would be fighting. It was time to go to the arena.
Volfax entered on the far side of the arena, through a door large enough for multiple battlehearts. He looked across the arena to see Ares. He decided his attaked, and started running towards his opponent, his fur full of sparks.

Ares

Ares does 25 ( 21 + 1 + 3 ) total damage to Volfax.

Volfax
Rolled a 4 - HIT
Volfax does 9 ( 7 + 2 ) total Electricity damage to Ares.

Success! Ares felt his claws contact with fur, digging into the fellox and causing some damage. But his attack wasn't the only successful one. When he came in contact, he felt electricity course through his body. He was taken aback and stumbled a few feet away from the fellox. Then he shook his head to shake the effects away. So, he could harness electricity? Well, Ares was no stranger to elemental attacks. He took a solid stance, and then he summoned light energy, drawing it toward him and then sending it toward his opponent. He was usually one for contact fights, but the other was using his element, so why not?

Volfax felt the claws shred his fur and hide, but he could also feel the electricity that had been discharged. He had managed to shock his opponent. He saw him stumble, so he took his chance to gain some hits. He checked how much damage had been done to himself, then attacked.  He lunged toward Ares, his long claws extended, hoping to tear off more than just a lump of fur.

Ares does 9 ( 7 + 2 ) total Light damage to Volfax.

Volfax
Rolled a 9 - HIT
Volfax does 13 ( 5 + 5 + 3 ) total damage to Ares.

Ares has ( 31 - 13 ) = 18 Endurance and ( 30 - 7 ) = 23 AP remaining.
Volfax has ( 31 - 9 ) = 22 Endurance and ( 23 - 5 ) = 18 AP remaining.

His attack hit his opponent once again, and for that Ares was glad. But his victory was shot lived, because Volfaz's attack hit him as well. He felt a searing pain in his side as the fellox's claws sank into him. He flinched, and then retreated a bit to get prepared for his next attack. He balanced himself, then ran toward the fellox. His claws were bared as he went forward and then lunged at his opponent.

Volfax felt his claws make contact, he had gotten him! But, yet again, he too had been hit. His leg was bleeding, but that wasn't going to stop him. He walked around a bit, trying to walk off his injury and then he attacked. He started to run as fast as he could, and lunged at Ares with his sharp claws.
