A swirling mist envelops the small, out of the way stall at the back of the marketplace. It looks deserted, un-manned except for the strange creature sitting out in front of it. People avoid the tent like the plague, carefully skirting around the giant, dark tent as if it had some sort of disease. Of course, you’re not like those other people. You are not faint of heart….are you? No, of course not. So, like any good adventure might do, you approach the shady looking shop, even if your hands are shaking and your palms are sweating-- and is that your heartbeat or is someone playing the drums down the street or something? Yeah, you’re not scared at all. As you approach, you notice the strange creature sitting out front turn it’s head towards you and regard you calmly. For some reason, he doesn’t appear to be quite in focus. His form is fading in and out, and if you blink, he suddenly seems to shift and disappear. But no, he’s still there. How odd. As you step forward, the creature rises, it’s wings unfolding against it’s back as it heaves itself to it’s feet. It’s a bit pudgy, and it’s fur looks somewhat disheveled, but it doesn’t seem hostile, though it regards you warily. It turns, ushering you inside, and slowly, unsurely, you follow after it, wondering what this strange, mysterious tent could hold, and if it’s secrets are meant for you to unravel.

So here’s how this works;
This is basically a ‘luck of the draw’ contest. You enter the contest, choose a number, and offer something for the pot. Your offer must be valid, meaning it must be a retired pet, a special event pet, a war pet, an evolver, a breedable, or even a Fortuna strain or Marketplace pet. It can even be a custom pet. There is no limit, as long as the pet is no longer available or hard to come by. You may also choose to add KS to the pot, but there is a minimum requirement of 100 KS in place of a pet. At the end of the time limit for the contest, three winners will be chosen, and if there are enough participants and prizes, a fourth, random winner will be chosen. The first place winner will receive some of the ‘bigger’ pets, or the more rare or breedables. The second place will receive breedables and possibly some rare pets, and third place will receive at least one rare and some evolvers or smaller pets.

Rules
- No whining if you win or lose, either way
- You must RP your post
- You must add at least one pet or KS (Min. 100 KS)
- Choose a number 1-50
- Keep your pets and your KS; they will be given away at the end of the contest.
- That’s about it.
- Contest Ends January 31st

A boy about fourteen walks in with a large squirming potato sack over his shoulder. He then places the bag down right next to him and turns to face the Creature and speaks. "Hello, I'd like to enter this fine contest that you've put up." He then made a quick smile. "I'd like to put this guy in for it." He then pulled the string on the potato sack and the teigu poped out breathing deep. "What was that for?"It asked. "Well you wouldn't have came with me reluctantly, so I tied you up. Now get back in there." He said "Fine, but I hope I get a good owner."He said before he went back down in the sack.
"Okay so now that we got that settled, I'd like to pick,ummmmm 25 for the number. Is that all right?"

Jackie saw the odd creature standing near the back of the marketplace. She walked up to it and saw that a large tent was there. She went in to look around. The tent seemed to be hosting a contest. She didn't have any pets to put up, so she put 100KS on the table. "I would like to enter this contest please. I will use the number 37."

Do I send you the pet?

Walking along the crowded marketplace streets, the young Milky Way Drakel found that it was almost impossible to get around in her currrent form.  Shaking her head, she wondered how in the world humans managed to stay as the dominant species for so long as she morphed.  Her flowing gown just barely covered what it needed to, and caused her to stick out among the crowd.  But this was her own style and culture, and she would dress accordingly, regardless of the stares she got.  

Suddenly something inside of her alerted her to the presence of one of Xai're's unholy creations.  Turning her head ever so slowly, she got a glimpse of an odd looking Mekkayana.  Keeping herself calm, she decided that it couldn't hurt to investigate.  Walking over, she read the sign.  A raffle of some kind was what the creature seemed to be holding.  She wasn't one for gambling, but of course, she was one for kindness.  It turned out that one of the Kuhnas back at her abode was in need of a new home, preferably a less crowded one, and it said that any donations were welcome, and would allow that donator to enter the raffle.  What was it Zeru would always say?  Ah, yes, a 'win win situation', good for all.  

Going up, she chose her words carefully, trying not to show her fear or disgust of the creature in front of her.  "Good day sir, I'm here to enter this raffle of yours."  She paused, trying to think of who she should enter under.  Then it hit her.  "I'm here under the orders of Ms.Elektra.  She will send along a Kuhna shortly, and would like to enter under the number 16."  And with that, the Drakel was off.

The Baby Doom Kitty made her way towards the tent, holding a piece of paper in her mouth. It wasn't anywhere near being artwork, but she found herself tempted to eat it all the same. Maybe this would have been easier in anthro form... but there was no point in changing now. Although the reaction of the people in the area would probably be hilarious, she might not be able to enter this contest if she scared anyone. Of course, she was thinking much too highly of herself, and there was almost no way that anyone would even be surprised. These sort of things happened all the time in The Lands of Evelon.

Glory soon enough found herself inside the tent, and she pushed her sheet of paper toward the creature who seemed to be hosting the event. "I'll be taking number 11. Would you like me to send the pets over once get home or send them to whoever wins them later?" She barely waited for a response before running out of the tent. The tiny feline was nearly trampled because she was thinking about the pets she would have to gather up.

They weren't really the rarest pets, but she hoped the quantity would make up for that. I hope I win, she thought as she practically hopped home.

A brown-haired girl popped her head into the tent. She had heard there was some kind of Luck of the Draw contest going on here, and she was interested to see what it was like. After looking over the instructions, it seemed intriguing enough, so Thunder got out a sheet of paper and wrote down a few pet species on it, as well as a number. She handed it to the mysterious Mekkayena with a smile.

"I would like to donate a Glow Garagnir and a Rabbot OP1, please," the paper read. "I'd also like number 13."

The little Myuu ran through the crowd, making her way to the tent that everyone flocked to. The bell around her neck jingle lightly with each step. There was a note in her mouth, and she was on a mission to deliver it. Finally making it to the front, she jumped on the table and placed it down. Mewing softly, she waited for it to be read.

"Sorry I could not come in person, I had other manners to attend to. But I have sent Jingle along to deliver this message. I am donating a Night Mr. Wilson, and would like to take number 33. Thank you so much, and oh, if you could give Jingle a little treat for her trouble?"

Jingle mewed again and flopped down on her side, rolling around.

[Eunwon]

Eunwon shuffled down the misty alley, only to find herself at a mysterious looking shop. Others were doing their best to unnoticeably avoid the place - but for some strange reason Eunwon found herself rather drawn towards the stall. Quietly, she did her best to investigate what was going on from the sidelines. She heard nothing, however. And just as she was about to walk away, Eunwon changed her mind last minute and cautiously walked towards the entrance. A rather strange looking creature greeted her there (perhaps 'greeted' wouldn't be an appropriate description, as he used no words at all). He beckoned her in, and even more cautiously, she entered. As intrigued as she was scared, Eunwon listened about what this little 'event' was about.

Hmm... Well this contest was definitely interesting, she'd give it that much credit. And there was no doubt she would enter - had it not been for the fact that she had to give up one of her beloved pets. In her head, she made a list of all the pets she owned, trying to think which one would be easiest to give away. Perhaps... Ada? After all, she had no feelings, the Heartless Kuhna couldn't mind. But, that was just straight out cruel. How dare she even think that! Eunwon instantly had a wave of disgust hit her... Ughh, the was going to be harder than she thought.

After quite a bit of thinking and guilt waves, she decided on her Vendure Yonyuu. She had two, and the one she would give up had an extremely independent personality. Surely he would do fine adjusting to a new home. It didn't even seem to like the one it had now...

But still. She was giving up something she loved. Not to mention a Christmas gift. Still, the thought of winning the draw overtook her unsureness. Before she could think twice, she gave her word to the creature that a Vendure Yonyuu would be on the way. Oh, and she almost forgot - she would pick the number 18, hoping it would bring her good luck.

There. Now she couldn't take it back. What's done is done. With that out of the way - Eunwon found a new fear. Her pet was so... measly compared to the other's donations. Hopefully no one would think she was trying to cheat her way out....

EDIT: Just wondering, is there a specific end date to this?

Shadow slowly, warily snuck behind the Mekkayena, eying every move it made.
Carefully, she threw a look over her shoulder, then let out a low whistle. A small, black and
green thing came after her, apperently a Viral velix. She turned towards the Hyena like creature again, pointing ather small companion. "I'd like to enter the draw...and I'm offering a Viral Velix...I know its not much, but I'm shure, someone will have more use of him then I do..."she paused, then tilted her head slightly "I'd like to enter under the number 6"

Theodore was concerned, to put it mildly. Admittedly, he found that he was rather concerned about all but the most mundane events, but this...this was something else. Who in his right mind would seek out this place, with the swirling mist and the ominous darkness and the way everyone was avoiding it. Theo couldn't help but be fairly certain that he was going to die.

But of course, he wasn't doing this for fun. Oh no, this wasn't his idea of fun at all. Rather, his landlady had sent him out here in her persuasive way--by sending the irritating Stargoyle out with him. This was one of the pets who was being put into the pool, and the little beast couldn't wait to be free of what it considered a boring old house. There was no way Theo was leaving without entering this contest, or the little monster would plague him to the end of his days. And Arthur would never let him forget it, either. So here he went, to his imminent doom.

When he reached the stall, there was nobody in sight; none of the previous entrants had hung around and passersby gave the place a wide beroh god what was that thing?

Oh. Oh, just a...a Mekkayena...with wings. Yes, with wings. Nothing threatening about that, surely? Apart from the teeth...and the claws...and that horrible, horrible smile...

He followed the Mekkayena inside, cleared his throat, and said in a voice that only shook a little, "Er, hello. I, um, I'm here to enter the contest on behalf of Indigo. I'm supposed to use number...number fifteen, I think it was. And, oh, there are some pets being sent along after me as well. We'll be sending...an Alabaster Stargoyle, a Bleached Penticorn and a Treasure Serraptor. Not much, but there you are. Um...goodbye."

Theo left as quickly as he could manage, dragging the excited Stargoyle behind him. Hopefully Arthur had made the tea like he'd asked. He was going to need a lot of it.

An angelic figure strolled up to the stall, her ponytail lolling back and forth as she grinned, holding up a Neuleef. "Hello," Sigorai smiled and placed the Neuleef by her side. "I would like to enter this raffle, please." Her tails flicked as she tried to decide which number to choose. "Hm. . ." She rubbed her chin and glanced at the Neuleef, then at the desk. "Id like the number 14, please, if you wouldn't mind, sir?" Sigorai smiled gently. "And I will be puttingmy Nueleef into the draw, please." Sigorai patted the Nueleef and kneeled down. "Goodbye," she told her quietly and stood. The girl twirled around and walked away, leaving the bold Nueleef behind.

The smaller-than-average Battleheart playfully batted a claw at the bizarre white-floating-ghost-water hovering around in tight clusters, snaking tendrils out occasionally. Archii was baffled by the mist, he had never seen such a thing like it before and he curiously regarded it with his brilliant blue eyes. Still, he had seen stranger things before and it didn't look like it was dangerous. In fact, it appeared to be rather shy - curious.

Oh~! The creature perked jerked it's head up from the ground and drew itself to full height. He had something to do didn't he, regarding the tent right in the middle of the fog. Gah, he had forgotten about handing over this small-folded-parchment-thing to whoever happened to be in the material-swathed-structure. The stupid white-floating-ghost-water and tasty-smelling-two-legs-two-arms-that-he-must-not-eat had distracted him from his main objective.

The Battleheart shuffled into the tent and dropped the envelope in front of the mechanical-winged-canine with a dip of his head. Archii couldn't talk, at least not human but Erina still used him to deliver her messages. Erina was the only two-leg-two-arms that didn't smell tasty to him and thus he hadn't really felt any urges to eat her. Rather, she had curbed his primal desires to eat human and rather told him he could eat the not-so-tasty-stringy-feral-four-legs or tiny-two-winged-flappers.

Archii snorted and retreated out of the tent, leaving the Mekkayena to read the note itself.

The letter read:

"To Whom It May Concern,

I am interested in joining this little raffle you've put together and I do believe that there are some things I can offer for it.
I have a spare Pingune, Whispwing, Carol Kuhna and Sulkuhna Kit I'd be happy to add to the prize pool.
I would also like to pick out the number, 43 and register it under the name Krypto.

Wetwinz walked in quickly and quietly.  She walked up to the line and waited until she got up to the desk.  She read the sign to herself and said "I would like to donate 100 KS and I would like number 7 please.  She got out of line and walked out the door.  She would be back later.  She had other thing to do until it was time to come back for the results.
