With temperatures rising over 143°C (289.40°F) in most areas, the only relief is during the nights when it is much cooler. All travelers are advised to keep to the local towns on the desert's outskirts and avoid traveling too far from civilization. (+3 Endurance, +2 Defense)

Return to Wilt'no Desert

In The Desert

Postby jackie125 » 11/10/2009 6:58 PM

I am Brightwing, leader of the clan of the Deathwings. After being stuck in the middle of a desert for a few weeks you start to feel dizzy. But I was searching for somthing. A home. As leader of a clan I needed to find a good home for them. After walking a fair distance I found a cave, but it was too small.

In the desert even breathing was harder because the air was thick with sand. I saw a bit of movment down below. A lone sharptile was wondering amongst the rocks, but with somthing following it.all I could see was a large blotch on the sand.what was it? Was the desert no longer safe?

I needed to return to my people. To inform them of what i had seen. That giant creatures had come to rule the desert. That it was no longer safe. Almost a kilometer away I could see my clan, the deathwings. As I approached many asked "have you found it?"

I went up to stand on the great rock that was our meeting place. Sadly I had to inform them of what I had seen;beasts five times our size. We would have to leave the desert. Most of us had never left the desert, but I have.

We made the preperations to leave the next day. Each carried his or her own supplies.because in the morning we leave. We flew to the west to find a new home. When we stopped each found a rock to perch on.

All was peaceful until I woke to the sound of footsteps. they were too heavy to be one of my clan; we were stealthy hunters. I screeched an alarm and the clan took flight. One of those beasts was only metres from our perches.

That night the moons were shining brightly. Soon we flew over forest. Was there a home there for us? One of the clan spotted a clearing that was big enough for us all. I stayed on lookout that way if a beast came we would be ready.

As we settled in the clearing Brightheart, a female from the clan found somthing. A footprint. A BIG footprint. That night we slept in several large trees. It was not very comfortable. In the morning I was stiff. I went to the clearing to stretch.

I quickly jumped into the air. One of the large beasts walked into the clearing. A cry of alarm sounded from the tree. The thing kept pace with me on the ground.

I flew through the canopy to confuse the beast. I stopped in a hidden tree, while the beast kept running. Yet again I escape danger.

As the sun came up we began to leave. Once we were in the air we looked for water. We didn't see any. We changed directions to the south.

As we flew south we noticed it getting warmer. A mountian jutted out in front of us. We stopped to lok at it. Caves seemed to cut through the mountian. We might be able to live here.

I sent a scout ahead to check the caves. They were clear of all signs of life. Finally we settled for the last time. No more flying or looking. I could finally relax.

The clan was finally safe. We were the biggest of the few things that could get into the cave. No more problems, no more hunger, and no more running. I had found a safe place to live out my life.
