I immediately knew they were all bugs once I saw the antennae on two of them. Which, honestly, made me a bit more excited to see the colors. Both the Morloth and the Torken are visual puns, so I love them wholeheartedly. Rhinoceros beetle and bumblebee bat, yes, good. I was kind of afraid the Torken would wind up as a shiny black rhino beetle, but this is way better than anything along those lines. The Pichu looks really silky, too, and is only slightly less punny than the other two.

Oh man I was gonna make a joke about how bumblebee bats look nothing like bumblebees, but I didn't even notice the Rhinoceros beetle pun. These just got that much more clever, haha!

This is really conveniently timed, actually, as I'm making the character of one of my new Paragon a bug-obsessed guy, and that gives me convenient characters for these three! They're his buggy buddies.

I'm actually gonna ignore the fact that they're bugs, honestly. lol (I hate bugs, they freak me out, despite how pretty they can be aesthetically) The Torken nearly caused me to wreck because I opened my PM while stopped at a red light and I think my foot came off the brake for a split second it wowed me so much. xD; And I actually thought the Morloth was based on a yellow tiger swallowtail butterfly when I saw it, but either way it's pretty. As for the Mocha Picchu, it's not my favorite species and it doesn't inspire anything for me so it's up for sale. It's pretty, but I don't really know what to do with a chinchilla thing.

That Torken though. You'll have to prise that thing away from me over my cold dead body after rigor mortis has set in.

Commenting a bit belatedly, but I want to add my own praise for the Halloween pets.  They were really cool, so much so I think I bought more pets than I really needed!  Shucks, and there were still more I would have bought if I had the candy points!  The Labradorite Hunter is simply awesome - I wrote my reaction to it into the shop post in which I bought it!  The Antivirus mekkayena is pretty cool, too, and I think it will be a great counter-point to my Malware mekkayena.  The Nightlight Tou-san and Phantom Grondalith are beautiful.  I rather regret I couldn't get them!  I love the Orb O' Prayers - it's not the sort of thing I would likely buy, but I recognized the Dragon Ball references and found it highly amusing.  A nice addition to the Pot O' whatevers collection.  The Crowbones and Poison Larvie were well thought out, and the artists did a great job with the Tribal Slynx.  All in all, it made for a pretty good Halloween haul!

There's one that's blue and orange. So, I pretty much vibrated when I saw it. uwu And then bought it, and all the other ones. I'll likely gift some but only after considering the box descriptions thoroughly~

The 11th also made me think of something, but the reference is very personal and specific so... mum's the word on that. It's not anything any of the mods could know so, I still don't know what it is.

I like fiery theme, but I normally don't like orange and red much. I wonder how the colors are gonna play out on the critters. Call me curious!

Okay, so I love fire-themed things (go figure, it's in the username and all, haha), so thus far, I'm super excited about the boxes. Also, snow leopard box. Hnnnnnng. I need all of the things snow leopard, haha. I didn't want to spend as much KS as I did, but I just couldn't let any of those boxes pass me by. X3

Dude, don't apologize. That Torken is awesome! I love almost all the pets. There were a couple species I just don't care for, but they were still nice. Just don't have a use for them. :/

My faves though are the sygriff, penguins, garudor, and the quicksylph.

There's really none that I DON'T like, which is surprising. I'm not too fond of Snowballs, but even that one is beautifully done. Pretty much all of them aren't merely "pretty" to me, but spark some character idea or another. I am certainly kicking myself for not coughing up the KS this year. ;___;
Wooly Torken is hands-down my favorite, though. Reminds me of Naga from the Legend of Korra, if only for the fact that it's a fluffy white/blue arctic animal. XD *peeeets the fluffy beast* ;w;
I'm also really looking forward to seeing how the Phoenix penguins grow up. I'm sure puberty will treat them well~ X'D

THE TORKEN IS MY FAV because it fits one of my characters' animal companions perfectly! I'm so darn happy about it ahhh. I really love all of the pets a lot; I'm gonna have to find some good characters for them! Amazing job!! <3

I'm really glad that I caved and bought some boxes at the last minute.

I also like the fire-and-ice theme going on this year. It's fitting, because it has been one very un-wintery winter in my area. We've had, what, one week of good snowfall? Pfft.
