As some of you may have noticed, I haven't really been around for the last week and, as I believe most know, I've been expecting my son to be born any day now. Well, last Tuesday, my son, Havok Alucard, was born at 1:08 in the afternoon after a little more than 12 hours in labor. I'm a new momma now!
Everything with the delivery went well, but we had to stay in the hospital an extra day because he was having difficulty eating. In the first 24 hours of his life, he was unable to eat much at all, and the possibility of him being admitted for a much longer stay was nearly a reality. However, things turned around, and we were discharged from the hospital on Thanksgiving day! Talk about something to be thankful for!
A week later, everything seems to be going well, although I still don't have much free time, and wont for awhile. He already had his first doctor's appointment and check up, and she gave us the clear that things are going well. He's already regained the weight that he lost while in the hospital, initially, which is great. In the moments that he's sleeping, I'm usually asleep, eating, or some other basic survival need for myself, though.
I haven't had the chance to upload any pictures of him myself, nor any of the better pictures taken of him, but here are some (fuzzy) pictures from his first few hours in the hospital.
Here and here.
He seriously looks like my husband's mini me! xD
