Hey all! I don't normally go out of my way to gush about my achievements, but I feel like this is a noteworthy point in my life. This year on May 13, I will be graduating from high school. I've been working diligently for the past many months to apply to colleges; my first choice being Houston Baptist University.
I not only applied to the school, but also to their extremely competitive Honors Program... To do so, I had to write five short essays, send in two letters of recommendation, and complete one face-to-face interview. And because I'm interested in being a Nursing major, the Director of the Honors College had to meet with the Dean of the School of Nursing to discuss my application. He had to get her consent, because the Honors College and the Nursing School have an agreement that any Nursing major in Honors gets automatic acceptance into Nursing school after finishing the two year prerequisites.
About two weeks ago, I got my acceptance letter to HBU Honors College -
And today, I officially enrolled in classes!
It's been a long, stressful road to get here. I've had to battle mental health issues every step of the way, but as of today I'm more proud of myself and more hopeful for my future than I have ever been before!
I absolutely love Evelon and this community, so I wanted to share my happiness with you all. <3
