Yet another page of scaly critters for you to take home!

.:The Gyrraptor:.

( pr: HERE-ap-tur)

Thought to be the missing link between birds and reptiles, the Gyrraptor's body is covered in, you guessed it, feathers! Though they cannot fly, Gyrraptors are very light-weight and are able to run faster than most land animals. They are very social creatures and have been known to establish heirarchies within their packs, like wolves do. They also communicate through a series of chirps, growls, and whistles, which they produce by blowing air through special holes in the olfactory cavities of their skulls. Because they are more fragile than other predators, they work together to bring down larger prey. Gyrraptors are also highly intelligent, able to solve puzzles and even work around very complicated situations. It is also proven that the darker the feathers of a Gyrraptor, the older it is...

.:The Carpetfang:.

( pr: CAR-pit-fang)

Carpetfangs are truly immense serpents, their long bodies spanning a little larger than a coach bus. Made of mostly pure muscle and possessing rock-hard scale plates, Carpetfangs can burrow into the ground (and even through concrete) at a rapid pace, disappearing into the ground within seconds. If trained properly, they may serve as an interesting mount. They are also very fickle and never require a human to survive. These serpents are also vain, selfish most of the time, but are usually cool-headed in stressful situations. Their venom is highly acidic and can melt straight through metal!

 .:The Terratops:.

( pr: TERR-uh-tops)

The Terratops is a massive herbivore, tending to eat rough shrubs, ferns, and occasionally grass if nothing else can be found. Bearing a bony frill around it's neck as well as multiple spikes and horns, the Terratops can prove very dangerous, often charging at their enemies when they get too close. Because of their poor eyesight, they tend to scare and anger easily, making them extremely unpredictable. Serious caution is advised when dealing with this dinosaur. They are also a hard species to tame as it takes awhile to bond with it's owner, preffering the wilderness rather than a cramped zoo pen in which to live.

.:The Hydrolisk:.

( pr: HIE-dro-lesk)

An aquatic species that lives it's life in salt water, the Hydrolisk's diet does not just consist of fish, but rather of anything it set's it's sight on and moves, and can also come out on land if they choose. Though they have never attacked a human out of hunger, a Hydrolisk will not hesistate to lash out at people who draw too close, as they are quite finicky, shy, and untrusting. Many people often find themselves in this situation because of the mesmerizing and attractive colors of the Hydrolisk's scales that flash brightly in the open ocean. The thick webbed tail allows the Hydrolisk to propel itself quickly through the water, moving more in likeness to a whale rather than an aquatic reptile, such as the Icythsaur which sweeps side to side in an 'S' shape. Many earnest trinket collectors spend their days skimming the beaches for rare Hydrolisk scales, often selling them on necklaces and such; it was said that in the Old Times, Hydrolisk scales were considered as a popular currency...

.:The Kuchi Nagi:.

( pr: KOO-chee NAH-gee)

An intelligent race, the Kuchi Nagi are noble creatures that value both valor and honor in battles. They have a different language, but can communicate quite easily with others of the reptillian background. Many do not speak human for it is nearly impossible because of their vocal structure. Although most Kuchi Nagi favor honor, there are always a few who think differently. Kuchi Nagi are also poor swimmers and though they cannot fly, they have exceptional jumping skills that make their heavy plating look weightless. At one time, many believed that the colors of the Nagi scales determined the personality and physical abilities of each one, for instance, the yellow-tan skins which were said to be friendly and intelligent, while steel-blue skinned Kuchi Nagi displayed a stronger sense of justice and great physical prowess. The fiery-red and faded-purple featured other social traits of note. But, nowadays there are so many Kuchi Nagi of mixed blood that this theory doesn't exists anymore. It is also to be said that Evelon only provides the male Kuchi Nagi, as the females are too timid and do not do well with trainers...

.:The Battleheart:.

( pr: BA-tell-hart)

Born right from the start with an inherit thirst for fighting, most Battlehearts lack the sense of honor that say, a Kuchi Nagi would possess, often taking cheap shots and low blows to achieve their victory. Hulking, powerful beasts that are somewhat taller than a Hollowheart, the two species appear to be mortal enemies, as the Battlehearts have tried several times to disrupt the peace Hollowhearts want to achieve. Possessing both mastery over wind and fire, and possessing scales of steel, the Battlehearts also use these to their full advantage, often wreaking havoc to small towns and cities with particular ease. It is scientifically proven that the markings on the Battleheart's chest shows the color of the creature's blood, which is sought after by alchemist for their ability to prolong life... Also, be wary. More learned Battlehearts can take the human form to disguise themselves amongst their favorite food...

 .:The Bleeder:.

( pr: BLEE-der)

Not truly living, this palm-sized creature is created when someone is betrayed by a lover or when someone's love is unrequited. Forming from the emptiness and despair within the person's heart, the newly created Bleeder immediately crawls onto its creator's shoulder and sits there, looking very much like a tiny brooding gargoyle. Its blood continuously spills forth from the crack in its otherwise smooth and solid head as a constant reminder of its creator's ongoing pain. The only way to get rid of a Bleeder is to find love again, which will heal its wound and cause it to dissipate, rejoining the once-broken heart it came from. Despite its demonic appearance, it is harmless, only using its needle-sharp teeth when seriously provoked.

 .:The Kamee:.

( pr: KAH-mee)

Fitting squarely in the palm of someone's hand, the Kamee's are a peaceful and intelligent species who enjoy just quietly watching from their froest perches and blending in with their environments, thought that's quite hard. When excited or angry, they become dull or darker colors, but when they are normal, their overly bright patterns and colors can astound. They normally feed upon smaller bugs, using their bright tongues to attract their prey closer and snatch them up. The Kamee's tails are also well-adapted from clinging to tree limbs.

   .:The Choopa:.

( pr: CHOO-puh)

Keep all your Yingshee away! Choopas are a feisty species who are known to prey upon local livestock and were once hunted almost to extinction. As a reaction, most are reclusive at first but cannot deny their rascal nature, displaying high levels of energy that trainers find hard to keep up with. They also enjoy chasing things and jumping out to scare unknowning passerbys.

   .:The Staigovald:.

( pr: STIE-goh-vald)

A lumbering creature equal to the Terratops, do not underestimate the power of this hulking dino. Normally a docile creature, the Staigovald will not hesitate to charge up and use it's inherent electrical powers to ward off enemies. Researchers say they are able to draw this energy by collecting sunlight from the plates on their backs. The hard plate-like scales lining it's body also helps it withstand extreme temperatures.

   .:The Lohlani:.

( pr: Loh-LAH-nee)

Along the shores of the beach, any lucky viewer might stumble upon a resting group of Lohlanis. Though shy and somewhat elusive, the Lohlani is a trusting creature that can easily recognize a friend from foe. Any Lohlani enjoys spending most of its time basking in the sun to warm their feathered shells before returning to the sea to prey on invertebrates and crustaceans. Sailors traversing the ocean alongside these reptiles commonly call them 'sea seraphs' because of their winged appearance and their willingness to aid those whose ships have either gone astray or sunk.
